Monticello, NY- A Hatzolah member was pulled over by a New York State Police Trooper, while responding to an emergency call. Hatzolah staff spoke to the State Trooper and asked him to allow the member to continue responding to the call, but the Police officer refused. Even after several requests by Hatzolah, the police officer still did not allow the member to go to the call.
Eventually, the officer allowed the member to leave, but only after it was already too late to help at the call.
Hatzolah reportedly will be dealing with this incident through channels with the State Police. [PCJN Staff]
This doesn’t just happen in Passaic, I guess.
nice
JUST BECAUSE YOU’RE RESPONDING TO EMERGENCY DOES NOT GIVE YOU THE RIGHT TO BREAK THE LAW. THERE WAS A REASON WHY THE OFFICER PULLED HIM OR HER OVER AND DID NOT LET THEM GO. I KEEP SAYING IT OVER AND OVER AGAIN,
In reference to Passaicjew. Have you ever read the law in regards to “blue lighters?” They must obey all laws and are not exempt from red lights, speed limits, etc… While I do appreciate the help Hatzolah offers the community, this does not excuse those who believe they are above the law when responding to an emergency. Lately Hatzolah has been supplementing the paid ambulance squad and assisting with calls. I commend them and applaud their efforts. I just do not want to see them as a statistic or in need of an ambulance themselves.
i like the part thay says… “Hatzolah reportedly will be dealing with this incident through channels with the State Police”
If a regular person did that, they would be tossed in jail for impersonating a cop.. these hatzolah guys have to much power.. yea they will be dealing with it alright, they will call there rep in the state and threaten no more votes from the hasidc population and no more money….. too much corruption!!!!
